Two Cameroonians have seconded a Rwandan in the first lap of the 20th edition of the Chantal Biya International Cycling Tour Wednesday November 18, 2020.
The 95.9km close circuit lap in Douala III subdivision was dominated by a 22-year-old Rwandan Mugisha Moise in 2hours 15 minutes and 41 seconds.
The two Cameroonians were Tiencheu Micheal and Nana Roderigue Eric followed immediately.
Moise Mugisha dedicated his victory to his team mates and cyclists
60 cyclists from Europe and Africa demonstrate mastery of the terrain and professionalism in the race but Mugisha Moise who belong to UCI Continental team Skol Adrien Cycling Academy, as well as French amateur team La Roche-sur-Yon Vendée Cyclisme took home the yellow Jersey.
Country’s such as host Cameroon, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Rwanda and Benin and foreigners like French military team and Dukkla Banska Bystrica from Slovakia took part in the sunny race.
The cyclist will move to Yaounde for the second lap of the race from Akonoliga to Abong-Mbang. They are expected to cover a 135.5km road on Thursday November 19, 2020.
Participating cyclists will cover a total of 685.3km by the end of the race.
