Didier MPOUPE scored the line goal at the dying minutes of the game as the intermediate lions of Cameroon opened their camping in douala with a defeat.
The 92nd minute goal came to stamp the dominance the Melong boys had on the game as the team on coach matin Ndtoungou Mpile showed very little going upfront.
The intermediate Lions throughout the first half forced one brilliant save from the Stade Renard goalKeeper with a header in the box but the first half concluded with both teams seeing each other to dressing room on a parity.
The second half saw some changes from both sides but it was the team from the littoral region who carried the day.
The defeat is the first in six games under coach Mpile who inherited a troubled side from Yves Clement Arroga in October this year.
The intermediate Lions face two-times Cameroon champions UMS of Loum in the inaugural game at the Japoma stadium this Monday.
The team will climax their preparations in January with three friendlies against Uganda, Niger and Zambia in a pre-CHAN2020 friendly tournament in Yaoundé-Cameroon.
The CHAN proper begins on January 16 with the opener pitting Cameroon against Zimbabwe before the next two group games against Mali and Burkina Faso.
The 16-nations tournament run till February 7th across four cities in the Central African nation.
