It promises to be a busy start to second life as coach of the intermediate Lions of Cameroon for recently-appointed trainer Martin Ndtongou Mpile.
Kick442.com has information on good authority that the intermediate selections of Morocco and that of DR Congo will be in Cameroon in November to test their soccer strength and readiness for the January-February 2021 CHAN competition through friendly games in a mini-tournament.
This Pan-African Sports News Agency understands Cameroon, Congo and Morocco are in advanced negotiations to have two games each against each other from the second week of November.
The intermediate Lions will start the month with a pair of fixtures against Liberia in what will be Martin Ndtongou’s second debut as coach of the the Cameroon team.
Morocco are defending champions of the competition and amongst favorites while 2011 Champions DR Congo are coming back with fresh memories of their one-nil defeat against Cameroon in a friendly played in Brazzaville last February.
As part of their preparation for the CHAN Cameroon has had games against Chad, Congo Republic, DR Congo, Rwanda and South Sudan twice without a single defeat.
The Central African nation will host the 6th edition of the CHAN scheduled between January 16th and February 7th across four cities.
