The Chipolopolo of Zambia is gearing up for a top-of-the table clash against the Syli National of Guinea. Both teams are set to clash this Saturday January 23, as the winner of the game is guaranteed a spot in the knockout phase of the ongoing Africa Nations Championship, CHAN.
In a recovery session on Wednesday evening, the boys of Coach Milutin Micho were put through light exercises at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium by the Assistant Coach Dushan Stojanovic as they looked to be prepared for the game against Guinea.
Images shared by the team press officer shows the boys in a relaxed and joyous mood, as the players went through stretches, and other exercises.
Guinea currently tops group D though on goal difference as both sides have three points each. Both teams defeated their opponents on matchday one at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium.
It should be noted that 48 hours before the game, the Zambian team from the players and coaching staff underwent a COVID-19 test at their Buea based. This is a mandatory exercise that has been put in place by officials of CAF.
“Zambia underwent their test at the Mountain Hotel Buea and will await the results in two phases with the rapid tests given within a few hours while the PCR ones are given 24 hours later,” the Zambian Team Press Officer wrote.
