Etienne Ndayiragije, Coach of the Taifa Stars of Tanzania says his team is going to approach every game and treat it like a final. The coach was speaking during a pre-match press conference at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium as his side look to face Zambia.
Coach Etienne Ndayiragije expects his boys who have had a series of training sessions in Limbe to burn out all their energy when they do battle with the Chipolopolo of Zambia Tuesday, January 19 at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium.
“The main target in this tournament is that we want to play each game like a final. Our focus in tomorrow’s game is we must burn all our energy to reach an to achieve what we know and believe,” Coach Etienne Ndayiragije said
It should be noted that Tanzania is making only its second participation at the Africa Nations Championship. The team last featured in 2009 and that year remains their best performance in the competition as they finished at the group stage.
Tanzania’s second game comes up on January 23 against Namibia. The last group game for the Taifa Stars comes up on January 27 against Guinea.
