Cranes of Uganda will conduct its first training session since their arrival in Cameroon today December 30, 2020, 4pm Local Time, 6pm EAT at Amadou Ahidjo Annex2 stadium in the countries political capital Yaounde.
Uganda made her presence felt in Cameroon via Nsimalen-Cameroon Airport at 11h local time on Tuesday with a 38-man squad to participate in the CHAN 2020 tournament and the PRE-CHAN all in Cameroon.
The selected venue for the training session is one selected by the Local Organizing Committee COCHAN to be used during the finals of the 2020 CHAN.
Cranes are currently lodged at the Felicia Hotel in Yaoundé and are expected to begin preparations for the four-nations Pre-CHAN2020 tournament before the competition proper. For the competition proper, they are pitted against current champions of the CHAN Morocco, Rwanda and Togo participating in the CHAN for the first time in group B.
During the Pre-CHAN Mini Tournament involving Cameroon, Niger and Zambia, Uganda will play Cameroon on Friday 1st Jan 2021 in the first match of the Pre-CHAN Mini Tournament. This is to help both sides have a mastery of what will be fall them come January 16.
Uganda opens their CHAN campaign on January 18th against Rwanda in an eagerly-awaited clash of football foes.
