After the Taifa Stars of Tanzania played a 2#2 draw with Guinea, the last game in the group stage of pool D, head coach Etienne Ndairagije says it is a plus to his team.
It is an experience which his side has gotten considering the young nature of the club and the absence of experienced players
“I believe they have gotten this experience and they have gotten the intensity. Hopefully, we are going to have another good time to train it will be a good team. I can say now that we have U23, it is a good team which is very promising added with the senior, in the future, I think we can get a place they need in this competition.” Coach Etienne Ndairagije
Tanzania had a good run in the tournament backing home four points in three games and three goals.
The team is very young, and progress is only made as time goes on
“Our games we were not too organized because I taught this team a few days before coming to Cameroon so most of those young players you see are coming from the U17, U20, and some other new teams. They are all new that is why as I said, each day you are going to see improvements day after day.” Etienne Ndairagije hinted.
Tanzania did not make it to the knock-out stage of the tournament. Their run was stopped by Guinea in a 2#2 game, Wednesday 27, January 2021 at the Reunification Stadium in Douala
