Entry tickets for the CHAN 2020 quarter-final game pitting Cameroon against DR Congo at the Japoma stadium in Douala have been sold out over 48 hours before the fixture.
The 12500 tickets produced for the game have been purchased barely 72hours after the fixture was confirmed.
A track from the president of the ticketing commission confirmed that to the frustration of thousands of football lovers still wanting to buy the match tickets this Thursday.
“The President of the Ticketing committee of CHAN 2020, Eric Bin Fon, informs the public especially the population of Douala that tickets for the Cameroon Vs DRC 1/4 final fixture for this Saturday have all been sold.No more tickets are available given the 25 percent spectator turn out recommended by CAF. There is no need for the mad rush ,no need for the scramble at the different sales points. He counts on the kind understanding of all,” the release confirming the situation read.
The Intermediate Lions of Cameroon take on DR Congo in a winner take all fixture at the newly-constructed Japoma Stadium on Saturday evening.
Congo’s coach Florent Ibenge and Cameroon’s coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile will go head-to-head for the second time in their coaching career. The latter won the last competition last meeting between both sides.
