CHAN Eagles coach, Imama Amapakabo has invited eight (8) new players ahead of Cameroon 2020 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifier second leg fixture against Togo next weekend.

Top of the newly invited players list include Enyimba defender, Ifeanyi Aneamena, Rangers midfielder, Anthony Shimaga, Katsina United midfielder, and Destiny Ashadi. Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Heartland FC) is also back as he will join the camp after Super Eagles friendly match against Brazil.

Nigeria lost the first leg 4-1 away to Togo and went on to lose 2-1 to Togo in the West African Football Union (WAFU) cup before being eliminated on penalties by Cape Verde Island.

The return leg is expected to take place on October 19, 2019 at Agege Township Stadium, Lagos. Nigeria will have to over turn a 4-1 deficit to be able to make it to the tournament.
