The Chipolopolo of Zambia and Namibia are expected to be based at the Buea Mountain Hotel as they participate at the 6th edition of the Africa Nations Championship, CHAN.
In this light, the general Manager of the Buea Mountain Hotel has told kick442.com that the Hotel and its staff are very much ready for the teams and its officials that will be logged at the hotel.
“We think everything is already in place to give the teams a befitting welcome. Zambia was expected to make their presence known at the hotel this Wednesday January 13,” Mbinglo Grace, General Manager of Mountain Hotel told kick442.com.
“It is an honour receiving delegates because we are going to showcase what the hotel is capable of and represent not only the region but the country as a whole. It is a privilege for us, we fill humble and we are going to do our best as we are not only hosting a team but two.”
The Mountain Hotel is scheduled to be the venue for two of the four teams participating in the South West. Zambia and Namibia will call the Mountain Hotel home during their stay in the region.
The hotel has been giving a facelift, the flags of the various nations flying high, the rooms have been made, and the gym, where the players are expected to spend most of their time in training has been made available to the players. The gym is an important factor in making sure the players remain fit and for those who have injuries to nurse their way back to full fitness.
In terms of the cuisines, the General Manager says everything has been done to ensure that the various delegations get their preferred dishes but she also did mention that Cameroonian cuisine will be made available to both teams.
“Cameroonian cuisine is international and these are South African countries and our feeding habits may not be that different. We might have the same foodstuffs which might be prepared in different ways. Cameroonian cuisine is well known and cherished by all. We are prepared to do dishes from various parts of the world and so the aspect of cuisine will not be a problem for us,” Mbinglo Grace, General Manager of Mountain Hotel added.
“We are looking forward to have our guests, have the best conditions for them to excel and so we are looking to give our two teams the best conditions. We wish them the best in the various games and I hope that our guest go back with good memories of the hotel.”
It should be noted that the Mountain Hotel that was refurbished recently has been picked as one of the venues where supporters can buy tickets for the games to be played at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium. Zambia will play Namibia on the 19 of January. The game is programmed for 5 pm local time.
