The intermediate lions of Cameroon have been selected to officially inaugurate the new kits that have been made available by the supplier for the national football teams in the country.
The new jerseys produced by Le Coq Sportif have not been seen thus far as the intermediate lions who will kick of the 6th edition of the Africa Nations Championship CHAN this Saturday January 16 against Zimbabwe have been giving the pleasure to inaugurate the jersey.
Seidou Mbombo Njoya, President of the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT revealed that decision to the intermediate lions that are at Mont Febe Hotel in Yaounde when he visited them Tuesday January 12.
The President described the opportunity to inaugurate the new outfits as an honour for the teams which must be treated with victories, as per Fecafoot-officiel. He went on to assure the team of the total support of his institution as they prepare to participate in the CHAN tournament on home soil.
The intermediate lions will be hoping to go further than they have ever done before. The country’s best performance is finishing at the quarter-finals stage twice, in 2011 and 2016.
It should be noted that after opening the tournament against Zimbabwe on January 16, the intermediate lions of Cameroon will return to the pitch on January 20 against Mali for the second game. Their last game will be against Burkina Faso on January 24.
