Guinea has played a 2#2 draw against Taifa Stars of Tanzania in their last game of the group stage in pool D.
Played at the Reunification Stadium in Douala, Guinea was able to secure a point for themselves through a 2#2 draw which has sent them to the quarter finals of the African Nations Championship CHAN 2020.
First place Guinea in pool D launched play at the Reunification Stadium targeting all three points. One could see how determined coach Mohamed Kanfory and boys of Guinea were.
Tanzania with hopes to qualify as well, got hold of the ball 2 minutes into the first half, headed forward tried to get first goal through a shot by Yusufu Mhilu but failed.
Guinea immediately retaliated through Mohamed Coumbasa, beat one, two looked up, sent a direct one to the pool, but it was intercepted for a corner kick. He went for the corner kick sending it to the danger zone of Tanzania, difficulties through kicks leading to a penalty.
It was converted by Yakhouba Barry to a goal, four minutes of play, giving Guinea an upper hand in the game.

Tanzania became dominant in the game, enjoying most of the game time. First attempt came in through a Cross from Feisal Salum but Ditram Adrian could not do a fine finish.
Tanzania again with the ball free distributing to all ends of the turf, then came Baraka Majogoro with an equaliser in a beautiful angle 90 kick, 22 minutes of play.
34 minutes Bakari Mwamnyeto of Tanzania booked.
All the struggles ended the first segment, goal on either. 1#1 goal scored by Yakhouba Barry of Guinea and Baraka Majogoro of Tanzania.
Started with the substitution of Ibrahim Sory for Ismael Camara by Guinea.
Good plays for both sides, scoring opportunities created all heading way from the goal post.
Guinea got a free-kick barely seven minutes into the second half, on the ball was Mouste Jean who sent it right ontop of the net.

A golden chance Guinea had over Taifa Stars of Tanzania. Non of the efforts and opportunities had changed the scoreline between both sides. Guinea had several free-kicks, headers all went off target.
68 minutes an opportunity that turned things around for Tanzania, a goal from Edward Manyama. Tanzania leading 2#1.
Uncertainty continued to surround the fate of Guinea Fans. So many poor finishes for a single game.
Eight minutes to the end of regular olay time a long one was sent into the bedroom of Tanzania there came a header from Victor Kantabadouno equalising for Guinea. 2#2.
Tanzania’s coach brought in Yusufu Mhilu for Ayubu Lyanga,
Rajab Othmani for Faridi Mussa,
Adam Omary for Saidi Hamisi.
All efforts made by Tanzania were swept away.
