The end is drawing near for the African Nations Championship CHAN 2020 that has is on-going beginning January 16 to date. From group stage games to quarter finals and now semi-finals. Four countries booked a ticket to semifinals spot (Cameroon, Morocco, Mali and Guinea).
Douala, the lone city that hosted two pools will host the semi-final battle pitting the National Elephants of Guinea and The Eagles of Mali. It is a battle between two pool leaders, pool A (Mali) and D (Guinea) played this Wednesday at the Japoma Stadium Douala.
Mali booked a ticket for this game separating with Congo Republic on a 5-4 penalty shoot-out. While Guinea who have had a smooth run in the tournament successful swiped pass the Amavubi’s of Rwanda 1#0 lone goal scored by Morlaye Sylla within 60minutes.
Both sides will not want to miss this opportunity of playing in the prestigious Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde. It will not be new to Mali because it was the venue for their group stage games meanwhile it be a golden opportunity for Guinea should they go through.
Who ever wins today is sure of a place in the finals come February 7, 2021 in Yaounde.
