The Red Devils of Congo have sealed a place in the quarter finals of the African Nations Championship CHAN 2020, beating Libya 1#0.

A very decisive game it was for both sides. Congo Republic with hopes to qualify, started the game with so much pressure on the Mediterranean Knights of Libya. Just one minute into play a counter attack was launched by the Red Devils’ Judea Mouandzibi, struggled to get a goal but was intercepted by Salah Aldeen of Libya.
Libya earned the first corner kick of the day 8minutes of play, taken by Rabia Alshadi, goalkeeper Pavelh Ndzila was there to do the clearance.
Two minutes after the corner kick, it was almost a sad situation for the Congolese side when an attempt was made, fortunately, goalkeeper Pavelh Ndzila who doubles as captain once rescued his side.
Congo got another chance through a free-kick taken by Varel Rozan, sent it through the barrier, a punch from Libya’s goalkeeper Amed Azzaqah maintained an atmosphere of calm in Libya’s bedroom.
Congo with just one point in two games dominated most of the play time seeking ways to get to the quarter finals.
While Chandrel Massanga of Congo was being booked for a fowl, Mick Itali Ossete was substituted for Sagesse Babele.

The weakness of Libya’s influenced the substitution of Rabia Alshadi for Ali Mohammed, and defender Elmehdi Elhouni for Mohammed Naser.
Judea Mouandzibi was replaced by Archange Bintouka of Congo.
Libya took the lead in ball possession, beautiful combinations and inter positional plays, what was evident was the strong defence line and goalkeeper of Congo preventing the corner kicks, headers and direct kicks.
70 minutes of play, Congo got up from her slumber beginning with a counter attack Hardy Binguila to Gautrand, Hamed Abdulgader stopped their run for another goal.
All attempts made by the Libyans were unproductive.
