The intermediate Lions of Cameroon will face fellow CHAN 2020 participants Niger Republic in Baffousam between the 20-22 March 2020.
Sources at the the Niger Football Federation, FENIFOOT have told kick442.com that they have agreed to face the competition’s host as part of their preparations for the April 2020 competition in Cameroon.
The Menas of Niger return to the competition for the first time since 2016. It is their third appearance, they have been pitted against Libya, DR Congo and Congo Republic.
Host Cameroon are preparing for their fourth participation in six editions of the event so far.
The Cameroon team have played four international friendlies so far with a record of two wins and two draws.
They challenge Zimbabwe in their opening game of the competition on the 4th of April before confronting Mali and Zimbabwe respectively between intervals of four days.
The Cameroonian gaffer is expected to publish a list of players for his team’s fifth training camp to begin in the first week of March in Bafoussam.
The Niger team will arrive Cameroon in the second week of March. They will stay in the country till the competition begins on April 4 with their performance in the competition to determine if they stay till the end of the 16 nations tournament to run for exactly three weeks.
