The local selections of Burkina Faso and Togo have played a virgin draw on Sunday as part of their preparations for the April 2020 CHAN competition in Cameroon.
Both sides failed to score at the 4th August Stadium in Ouagadougou.
Captain and goalkeeper Babayoure Sawadogo of Burkina Faso and his mates did not make the most of their home advantage as they failed to get a goal but with both nations in the early stages of their preparations for the competition, more is surely reserved for the future.
They have called off their second friendly. They will return to Lome on Monday.
The team continue their preparations under coach Abalo Jean Paul while coach Zerbo Seydou and his Burkina Faso team stay in Ouagadougou for the same reason but with keen attention on CAF’s verdict on the tournament vis-a-vis the Coronavirus outbreak.
Burkina are in pool A of the competition. They face host Cameroon, Zimbabwe and Mali in the group stage while debutants Togo face defending champions Morocco plus Rwanda and Uganda.
The three weeks competition begins on April 4th in Cameroon.
