The local Eagles of Mali will be without center-back Mamadou Doumbia when they confront defending champions Morocco in the final of the 2021 African Nations Championship in Yaounde this Sunday.
Kick442.com has gathered from reliable sources that the Stade Malien of Bamako sweeper suffered a double tibia fracture in Mali’s penalty shoot out win against Guinea during Wednesday’s semi-finals in Yaounde.
The 26-year old was visited by Mali’s Sports and football officials currently in Cameroon for the CHAN and encouraged to recover soonest.
The brilliant Malian side on a mission to win their first ever CHAN title will make do with the absence of Doumbia.
