Based on the upcoming African Nations Championship CHAN to be hosted in Cameroon under three days, fans have been granted access with limited space to various stadia hosting the continental tournament.
Cameroon Sports boss Minister Narcisse Moulle Kombi who doubles as President of Local Organizing Committee COCAN 20-21 in collaboration with CAF, has informed both the national and international community on restrictions which have been put in place in respect of COVID-19 barrier measures.
During group stage matches and the launching of the tournament, only 25% of the stadia will be occupied.
Semi-finals and finals, 50% will be used.
As stated by the communique, this is to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Face masks are mandatory and will be strictly check at entrance to these stadia.
To have access to either of these stadia hosting the event, sales points for tickets have been made available. TOTAL filling stations is the most popular to purchase tickets.
16 countries are expected to be in Cameroon. Some have already made their way, while others are yet to make an arrival.
The CHAN will run from January 16 to February 7 2021. TOTAL remains the top sponsor of the tournament.
