28-year-old Dynamo Fredericks, Captain of the Brave Warriors of Namibia says their encounter against Tanzania is like a final to them. Namibia faces Tanzania this Saturday, January 23 in matchday two of Group D in the ongoing Africa Nations Championship, CHAN.
Dynamo Fredericks was speaking during pre-match press conferences for their game at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium. It is a crucial encounter for the Namibia selection.
“After losing our first game, we have lifted our spirit and our next encounter is like a final for us. We will put in our best,” the 1.66m midfielder said.
Namibia heads into this game knowing a defeat for them will see the team join Zimbabwe as the first teams to be eliminated from the competition. Namibia was beaten 3-0 by a very outstanding Guinea selection on matchday one.
In their last encounter against Guinea, Namibia had 9 shots and just 3 were on target, something which will have to change if they are to keep their hopes of staying in the competition.
