Stephen Tataw and Salomon Olembe – Olembe like all other Cameroon football legends are already living in an atmosphere of the CHAN 2020 and both have their expectations already game, set, and ready to match.

The two former indomitable Lions who donned the colours of Cameroon in their various stints with drive, passion and determination, were handy in the draw that took place Monday, February 17.

Having been asked of the kind of tournament fans should expect, the former captain, Stephen Tataw who led Cameroon and Africa to her first appearance at the World cup quarter finals said: “as a sportsman, I don’t think we have any small teams when it comes to football. All the teams here deserve a chance, and I wish them the best.”

The the former little midfield maestro Salomon Olembe who won two AFCON trophies (2000 – 2002) on the spin, was looking at the pairing of DRC and Congo Brazzaville: “DR Congo and Congo Brazzaville find themselves in group B, and I think it is going to be an interesting battle. We know that Congo has developed their local Championship with the likes of TP Mazembe, AS Vita club”, the current Team Manager of the indomitable Lions ended.

The African Nations Championship is one of the few accolades not found in Cameroon’s burgeoning medal cupboard and so the intermediate Lions are expected to make it count as hosts this year.
