The defending champions of the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) Morocco have touched down in Cameroon looking to defend their title they won in 2018.
The 2021 competition will be the 6th edition of the biennial showpiece organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), exclusively for players who feature in their domestic leagues.
The tournament gets underway this Saturday January 16 with host Cameroon against Zimbabwe.
Group C is considered as one of the toughest groups in the competition having the defending champion as old timers in the competition. The Atlas lions are seen as one of the favourites to win the competition having become the first team to host and win the title in 2018.
Morocco has participated at the African Nations Championship four times and Cameroon expedition with their fifth. The North Africans were once in the shadows of the competition having only ended at the quarter finals in 2014 before going to win it in 2018.
Morocco is in group C alongside Rwanda, Uganda and Togo.
