After the 1#1 encounter between the Intermediate lions of Cameroon and the Eagles of Mali, Mali’s head coach Nouhoum Diané has admitted it was a difficult encounter for his side.
Speaking in a post match conference, coach Nouhoum Diané says it was a good game and he is satisfied with the perfomance of both teams
“I think it was a very good match. The Cameroon team played a very good match and for the tactical plan, the both sides were well placed. For that we are very satisfied”
Quizzed why victory was not arrived at, he highlighted the fact that the Eagles did all to step up higher than the lions but it was unfortunate. Reasons why he targets the third encounter with so much determination
“It was a good match but in reality, I think we did all we could to win, unfortunately we did not win. What is so important is to accept the deeds of this match and for the third match we will prepare better for it.”

Mali qualified for the continental jamboree on October 20, 2019 through Guinea-Bissau.
Qualifying with nine goals and conceded none. This result has raised soo many eyebrows compared to their perfomance in the tournament.
The eagles have won one game against Burkina Faso, separated with the lions in 1#1 draw and will be targeting Zimbabwe Saturday 24 January 2021.
