Intermediate Indomitable Lions of Cameroon defender Serge Andoulo has been ruled out for the rest of the ongoing African Nations Championship.
Reports from the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon the medical team has confirmed the Union Sportive of Douala defender has suffered a partial rupture of internal lateral ligaments.
Andoulo was replaced by Steve Roberto Keuni in the first-half of Cameroon’s virgin draw against Burkina Faso in the last group game on Sunday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde.
The 29-year-old experienced defender has been a starter for Cameroon in all three games of the ongoing African Nations Championship but he will miss this weekend’s quarter-final against DR Congo and the rest of the competition should Cameroon progress.
The intermediate Lions are currently in Douala to prepare for Saturday’s mouthwatering Central Africa derby at the Japoma stadium.
