Intermediate lions head coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile ahead of the lion’s last game in the African Nations Championship CHAN 2020, has promised tough time on rivals Guinea in a battle for third spot.
In a press conference at the Reunification Stadium in Douala, Friday February 5, 2021, coach Mpile said the team will give all it can for the game.
“We will give all our strength in this battle because it is the last of each one, whether it is Guinea or Cameroon. We are all going out. It is clear that each on their side would like to win this match, to get on the podium” Coach Mpile
Reacting to Cameroon’s performance in the prestigious continental jamboree, here are his words.
“You know, when we organize the competition, everyone thinks that we have to win. It is everyone’s ambition, it is legitimate. It is as we advanced in the competition that this is confirmed, a bit like we say appetite comes with eating. When we reach the semi-final, we say to ourselves here is the final in front of us, the ambition becomes greater. I think when you go to a competition, it is not to lose. We had to win the matches and advance in the competition.”
Talking about Yannick N’djeng’s action/
“The state of mind in the group is generally calm. We had a case of indiscipline, it can happen. But we resolved this case of indiscipline, the rest of the group is doing well.” Martin Ndtoungou Mpile.
Intermediate Lions will face Guinean in a battle for third spot at Reunification Stadium in Douala at 8:00 pm.
