CF Carthage triumph in the all Tunisian final at Kelibia, Tunisia with a straight set win over CS Sfaxien.
The two Tunisian clubs had qualified from their respective pools as leaders and conquered all their opponents to get to the final.
Hence, a pulsating final was expected, but the pendulum seem swing in the Carthage’s favour after going unbeaten through out the tournament.
CF Carthage had it seemless in the first phase of the contest, winning by 25 points to CS Sfaxien’s 16.
The second set looked more fierce with the Carthage edging it by a 2-point margin of 25-23.
Sfaxien would start the third segment strongly to see if they could salvage the situation, but an unrelenting Carthage got a slim win to emerge victorious of the match 25-22.
The victory today adds to their 2017 title and this is their second success after appearing in 5 consecutive finals.
It is CF Carthage second Women Club African Championship title once again on Tunisian soil.
They won their last title in Monastir, Tunisia in 2017 after beating El Shams in the final.
