Reports from Turkey suggests veteran Cameroon goalkeeper Idriss Carlos Kameni has refused to negotiate for a possible termination of his contract with Fernabache.
The 35-year-old short stopper has been through arguably the worst experience of his career in his time in Turkey.
For 2 years now the one time great keeper has struggled to nail in the Fernabache squad let alone in the first XI.
Once upon a time the best in the Spanish La Liga,Kameni joined Fernabache in the summer of 2017 after over 10 years of loyal service to Espagnol Barcelone and Malaga.
His stay at Istanbul has been increasing unpleasant. Once upon a time a guarantee starter for more than 10 years,Kameni has not been included match day squad for Fernabache for over 2 years now
In fact his last appearance for the club was a 2-3 defeat to Akhisar B in a League match on the 4th of March 2018.
Kameni announced he was leaving the club in January but he couldn’t succeed to secure a move away from the club.
Recent reports in the Turkish media suggests that this summer the club has requested to negotiate that the goalkeeper’s contract which runs till 30th June 2020 be annulled. Unfortunately for Fernabache the goalkeeper is unwilling to enter such a negotiation giving Fernabache the obligation to pay the annual salary of 2.2 Millions Euros till June 2020.
Kameni has won 72 caps for Cameroon from which he got 40 wins,draw 13 and has suffered 19 defeats as goalkeeper for country.
The 2000 Olympics Gold medalist and 2002 AFCON winner was in Egypt in the Cameroon squad that was knocked out in the last 16 of the tournament.
