Omani Premier League outfit Al Rustaq FC have completed formalities to sign and unveil former Canon Yaounde duo Junior Ngede Ngede and Jean Nicolas Abanda Koa.
Versatile defender Ngede and his mate Abanda have been in Oman for tryouts since last month and convinced their latest employers to offer them a contract.
Kick442.com understands both players have signed a two-year contract to keep at the Club till the summer of 2023.
The moves ends Ngede’s three years stay at Canon Yaounde and a two-year stint for Abanda who joined the multiple Cameroon Champions in 2019.
Ngede, a former Eding Sport de la Lekie and Renaissance of Ngoumou defender masterminded Canon’s promotion to the top-flight championship three seasons and replicated that performance in the past two campaigns in Elite One while Abanda who has also played for UMS and Colombe Dja is a winner of the Elite One title in 2019 with UMS of Loum.
Ngede, 2016 Cameroon Elite One winner with UMS of Loum came through the youth set up of Jeunesse de Ngouleymekong.
The defender was pre-selected into the Cameroon team in the build-up to the 2020 African Nations Championship.
Both players could make their debut for the club this weekend when they travel to Masirah in Match-Day One of the Omani Premier League.
