APEJES of Mfou will this Sunday March 24, 2019, host PWD social club of Bamenda, in what will be just the second ever meeting between the two sides. Their first ever meeting was on match day one of the championship, in Bamenda, with PWD emerging victorious 2#1, thanks to a late goal from captain Divine Ngi Mbe, which came to add to Kongnyuy Jude’s opener, despite Apejes pulling one back through Brice Owona.

THE STAKES
APEJES will certainly want to revenge the 2#1 defeat the suffered from PWD on the opening day of the league, and the Mfou side can close the gap with the top three of Pool A, as only two points separate them from leaders, union sportive of Douala.
PWD on their part, have picked up just one point away from home this season (their zero all draw with TKC), and will be looking for their first away win come Sunday. The Abakwa boys have lost three of their four away matches this season (against New stars, Union and cotonsport).

RECENT FORM

In 8 round one matches played, Apejes managed only 3 wins, 2 draws 3 defeats, 10 goals scored, and 10 goals conceded. The boys of Sokba Omarou have accumulated just 11 of the 24 points that were up for grasp and is ranked fourth, in pool A.
PWD on the other hand, has record just 2 wins in 8 matches, suffering 3 defeats and 3 draws. The Abakwa boys have also hit the back of the opponents net just 6 times, and conceding 10 times. They are currently ranked 8th with 9points.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

APEJES’ bulldozing midfielder, Robert Tamatieu has netted 3 goals this season, while his other team mates, Brice Owona and Anjeh Calistus Anjeh are on two goals each. They need to show more of what is left in their arsenal, when PWD comes visiting. Coach Sokba Omarou can also rely on the likes of midfielder Yerima Issa Bouhari and the solid defending of Abel Grace Makani and Ulrich Yampili.

PWD can count on a defensive pairing of 22 year old Boung Ondoa Joel and 24 year old Burinyuy Derrick Laiver. Their solid defending has handed the Abakwa boys two consecutive clean sheets.
Goalkeeper Julius Atengong won 8 of the 9 points for PWD in the first round, and was phenomenal in the away game, and will hope to keep his place between the sticks on Sunday.
