AS Saint Etienne of Cameroon duo Harold Moukoudi and Yvan Neyou have taken a giant step towards survival in match-day 32 of the French Ligue 1 championship.
A hat-trick from Tunisia’s Wahbi Kahzri plus a goal from Zaydou Youssouf killed the expectations of victory for the host who had been given an early lead from the penalty spot through Ui-Jo Hwang.
Both Cameroonians started the game with Neyou operating in his usual midfield role while Moukoudi was deployed as a center-back for the 24th time this season.
Neyou appearing for the 27th league game this season was booked in the 12th minute while Moukoudi was also cautioned in the 66th minute.
The only downside about the impressive win was the nasty injury to 24-year old Yvan who was in the receiving end of a nasty challenge and was stretchered off in the 81st minute of the game.
Video footages have since revealed that Bordeaux goalkeeper Benoit Costil made a clarion call for his mates to injure Neyou and they did just that.
It remains to be seen if Costil will be punished by the disciplinary commission of the championship or not.
Neyou has scored once for the Club this term while Moukoudi counts three goals.
The latest win puts Saint Etienne in the 13th spot in the 20 Clubs championship ahead of their match-day 33 trip to reigning champions PSG.
