Without a club for close to eight months, Cameroon’s Sebastien Clovis Siani is contemplating retiring from professional football. Sebastien Siani signed for Ajman Club in the UAE Gulf League from Al-Jazira on Jan 1, 2020.
Siani is reported to have left Ajman Club on July 1, 2020, and up till now has not secured a club for himself. Siani has, however, noted that he has not retired yet but if things do not go positively he will look at plan B.”
“I have not retired yet…,” Sebastien Siani said as quoted by Walfoot.be.
“I’ll wait until June and see what I can still have. If I do not have anything yet, then I will go for plan B: I will stop my career.”
Should Sebastien Siani decide to put an end to his career in June, it will bring an end to his glittering career that began with Kadji Sports Academy between 2000-2004. From Kadji Sports he moved to Union Sportive Douala where he spent a season (2004 to 2005) before moving abroad to Belgium to play for Anderlecht.
The best of Sebastien Siani internationally came with K.V Oostende in Belgium where he spent close to five years. He played 167 times for De Kustboys and scored 22 goals.
Winner of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017 with the Indomitable Lions, Sebastien Clovis Siani has been capped 22 times for his country and succeeded in scoring two goals. Both goals came during the 2017 AFCON as Cameroon went all the way and defeated Egypt in the final.
