Cameroon’s Lewis Mbah Enoh was on target for his club Sporting Covilha as they won Varzim 2-1 away from home in the Portuguese Segunda Liga on Monday.
This is the second goal for Lewis Enoh since signing for the club in 11 appearances. Sporting is on a two games unbeaten run after drawing 2-2 against Mafra on February 18.
Sporting Covilha began the game on the front foot and took the lead just 13mins into the encounter through Gilberto.
Lewis Enoh who signed for “The Lions of the Mountain Range” in the 2020 football season after playing on loan for Casa Pia opened the scoring at the 14mins of play. His goal proved to be the winning goal of the game.
Luis Pedro pulled one back for Varzim at the 46mins. With momentum on their side, Varzim pushed for the equalizer but their attack was repelled by the defence line of Sporting Covilha.
With both sides cancelling each other, the game ended 2-1 for Sporting Covilha. The team will be in action this February 27 as they look for another three points against Feirense. Sporting Covilha is in the 12th position with 22 points with two games in hand.
