Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon duo of Bawou Ange Gabrielle and Touta Evanick have emerged as league Champions in Nigeria.
The two players won the 2021/2022 top flight Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership title on Sunday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State.
Bayelsa Queens defeated Nasarawa Amazons 2-1 to emerge as league winners with the top goal scorer and most valuable player, Monday Gift scoring the two goals while Basirat Amoo putting the ball at the back of the net for Nasarawa Amazons.
Bayelsa Queens won the league title with h a maximum of 15 points from five games at the 2022 NWFL Premiership Super after defeating all remaining five teams (Rivers Angels, Delta Queens, Edo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and Naija Ratels).

Bayelsa Queens goalkeeper, Bawou Ange Gabrielle emerged as the Best Goalkeeper of the league.
The victory means that the Yenegoa-based side will represent Nigeria at the Zonal Qualifiers of this year’s TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.
