kick442.com has exclusively gathered that, a 22-year-old Cameroonian defender whose name we elect to keep, is amongst Airfrance passengers who arrived Cameroon’s Douala International Airport on Tuesday evening and have been quarantined.
The said player has represented multiple clubs in Cameroon and two of the different categories of the Cameroon national teams. He has also had short stints abroad. He was in France for a football adventure recently but decided to return home this week and was met by the new measures provoked by Convid-19.
Cameroon’s borders were closed for foreigners in the hours before the arrival of the passengers from France. The Central African nation with 10 cases of persons infected by CoronaVirus is battling to reduce the risk of the spread of the pandemic.
Multiple measures have been adopted by Cameroonian authorities who are keen on ensuring the number of persons infected in the country reduces.
Quarantining the Cameroon international amongst other passengers is one of such measures.
A bulk of the passengers are currently in a government-provided facility in Douala.
It is expected those free of the virus will be allowed to join their families when authorities find it necessary to do so.
