Tunisia’s deputy captain Wahbi Khazri is set to miss his countries high profile friendly against Cameroon on October 12, 2019.

Coach Alain Giresse has published a 28-man shortlist to take-on Cameroon without the countries active highest goal scorer, Wahbi Khazri.

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder who has an eye for a pass and equally a good shot in both legs has dished out 2 assists in 8 appearances in the French League 1 this season with Saint Etienne.

It would be an opportunity for coach Alain Giresse to test the prioress of the younger generation against Cameroon, who are equally facing nightmarish spells of their own.

For a team that finished fourth in this year’s AFCON tourney in Egypt, Tunisia would have to keep the momentum going. Coming out victorious against the indomitable Lions would definitely mean the carthage eagles are on the right path.

All players called up are expected to be in camp from the 7th to the 10th of this month in Tunis.
