The Under 17 Lions of Cameroon have met the Country’s Ambassador to Brazil Martin Agbor Mbeng and a host of other dignitaries on Sunday evening.
The meeting which lasted just over 15 minutes had in attendance the Ambassador, the president of the Cameroon Football Federation Seidou Mbombo Njoya amongst others as Cameroon gears up to face Tajikistan in their first World Cup game on the 28th of October in Vitoria.
The top agenda of the meeting was to boast the players moral ahead of their first world cup outing
Doctor Bidias disclosed that the team had a near 100% fitness report and the players are all available for selection.
Speaking during the meeting, President Seidou Mbombo once again reminded the lions to be humble, respect their opponents and above all remember that they are African Champions.
“Cameroon has the responsibility to defend it’s position on the FIFA classification table. We have to be focused and respect our opponents Tajikistan,” Prince Mbombo Njoya told the players.
On his part, the Ambassador told the boys of coach Libiih that Cameroon is well known in Brazil especially in football, so it is on them to impress those who will come to watch them and defend fatherland in style.
Captain Ndzie Fabrice gave a satisfactory report on behalf of the players with a promise of a good game against Tajikistan.
