Saturday was third time lucky for coach Bertin Ebwelle who won his first competitive game and a silverware since his appointment on July 29, 2019.
The former Cotonsport coach lost his first two games against DC Motema Pembe in the CAF Confederations cup by a 4-0 aggregate scoreline.
The Stade Renard gaffer made the lads do the damage earlier in the first half, as they forced UMS to some unusual unforced errors. It was more of game management and keeping it solid at the back in the second half.
The game plan materialised perfectly for what became the former Indomitable Lion’s second coaching major trophy, after he won the 2018 League 1 title with Cotonport.
