Prof. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi in an official communiqué released on August the 1st, has informed the general public that, in view of the fast approaching continental competitions, the sports infrastructures that have been retained for the CHAN 2020 and the AFCON 2021 would provisionally not be used from the 1st to the 30th of August 2019.

The Minister is counting on the understanding of all and sundry. The closure aims at facilitating the maintenance of the infrastructure. He reminds the population that these infrastructures, important fruits of public investments would act as hosts not to far from now to international competitions with great value. Due to these reasons, a particular and permanent attention has to be given to the selected infrastructures.

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education as a result of this invites all potential actors, and users – to carry their programs to other makeshift places during this period of comma (break).

This is not the first time the Cameroonian public is witnessing such a move from the Minister of Sports and Physical Education. In 2018 it was same scenario before the queue of CAF inspectors came in to inspect key stadia across the land.
