Born in Yaoundé on October 11, 1997, 21 years old Cameroon international midfielder Jeando Pourrat Fuchs has signed a four year contract with Spanish La Liga outfit Deportivo Alaves from FC Sochaux in the French second tier. The midfielder has played over 100 games for Sochaux’s senior team with 21 appearances this season in Ligue and one in the French cup.
Sochaux are currently 18th in a 20 teams French Ligue 2 with 37 points from 37 games.
Before joining Sochaux in 2014 he featured for US Hesingue, FC Bartenheim, Saint-Louis Neuweg and Mulhouse in his youth career.
He was used sparingly by coach Omar Daf this season but might hit new heights in the very open and entertaining Spanish top flight with his new Basque based Spanish club under coach Fernandez Aberlado, if the former Barcelona midfielder continues with them next season. Alaves are currently 10th on the log in the Spanish La Liga.
Fuchs represented the French national team at the youth categories, playing nine games for the U-19s and five for their U-20s before switching his allegiance to the country of his birth and made his debut for the Indomitable Lions on November 20, 2018 in a friendly against Brazil.
