The game pitting YAFOOT against LION BLESSE’ separated in an all parity affair (1-1) for the both teams.

Yaounde foot and Lion Blesse shared the spoils in the very first game that was played at 1 p.m, on Sunday the 12th in the Limbe middle farms stadium, for the play ‘down’s’ of the League two.

LION BLESSE’ started the game in strong fashion, dominating their opponent’s for the first 30 minutes and scoring a goal. Legrand Stephane unleashed a strike that proved to-hot to handle for goal keeper Arsene Cyrille-who spilled the ball into the net.

Constant pressure was mounted by LION BLESSE’ for the remainder of the first half but power forward, Lionel William missed a few chances together with Tresor Romaris. The chances came back to hunt them in the second half.

The second segment was much more like it for the men in yellow and green stripes of YAFOOT. Captain Michel Mbengue was winning all the duels from the middle of the park on air and on land for his YAFOOT side.

Center-forward Hedmon Ongba for YAFOOT missed a one on one chance at the 50th minute, before a great improvisation from Cedric Vincent with a curler way outside the box gave YAFOOT the equaliser.

That was pretty much that for the entire game. The game can be described as one with two half’s: the first half for LION BLESSE’ and the second half for YAFOOT. The two club’s have a few more matches to vindicate themselves and try not to get relegated to an inferior regional league.
