Foncha Street of Bamenda opened their campaign in Cameroon’s Elite football with a draw against Dynamo of Douala at the Limbe Centenary Stadium.

Dynamo went into the break with a 1-0 advantage thanks to a goal from central defender Donatien Mbock Lem.

He put coach Jean Pierre Muth’s team ahead from a poorly cleared free-kick from the left by the Foncha Street FC defense.

He was on hand to calmly slot the ball home from close range beating goalkeeper Shalanyuy Franklin Ngeh of Foncha Street in his first game in Cameroon’s second tier.

In a game void of clear cut chances, substitute Tezang Fon equalized for the newly promoted Foncha Street FC from a long range effort from midfield that left the advanced goalkeeper Kome Nathaniel Akwe of Dynamo rooted in his box to the delight of their supporters.

Foncha Street FC had the chance to kill the game in the last 10 minutes, when Bright Bassa threaded a defense splitting pass to Leadi Adissa.

He did everything right until when he needed to put the ball into an almost empty net, after rounding goalkeeper Nathaniel Akwe, to the bemusement of all and sundry he went to the ground without connecting with the ball.

It turned out that he was injured as David Koffi Kange took his place.

According coach Franklin Abendeck Amunewa of Focha Street FC , it was just the first game of the season, his team will do better going forward.

A frustrated President Sinkot Isaac who spent his time complaining about the officials and players of Dynamo on the sideline will hope his team can do better in their next game.
