Club Sources have confirmed that players of Cameroon League 2 side Bang Bullets FC of Nkambe have lost valuable items to thieves on Sunday afternoon in Odza.
Players who kept their bags inside the team’s bus return from the field to realize that thieves had open one of the windows of the team bus and made away with some valuables belonging to the players,members of the technical bench and the club including phones,money and balls.
Bang Bullets FC beat Canon by 1 goal to nil thanks to a second half goal from Belking Dibong and magical goalkeeping display by Souleymane on captain Ewong Princewwill’s birthday. The robbery case has put the management of the club in a very difficult situation given that in addition to players, members of the technical staff and the club also had their items stolen.
The club’s Secretary General Ndi Eugene told kick442.com on Sunday evening that it was a sad incident and it spoiled the mood in the team but they have reported the case to the league and security officials. “We have channeled this unfortunate experience to the right quarters, we are hoping for a quick result because this is football, we don’t want a situation where our players may be disturbed psychologically because of this” Ndi Eugene said.
The win means the clubs registered the same scoreline against each other away from home this season. Bang Bullets FC will face Panthere Nde this midweek in their day 10 game in Bamenda.
