Canon Sportive of Yaounde has thrash AS FAP of Yaounde 3#nil, in a day two game of the playoffs in the League two championship.
The Kpa_Kum looked much the better of the two sides, as FAP once again failed to replicate their form of the first phase of the Championship.
Surprisingly to many, FAP started the game with League two top scorer, Frederick Etoum Bang on the bench, and that did not helped matters for them.
Canon got the first goal of the game at the 23rd minutes, through Yannick Tagne Wambo, who skipped pass FAP’s back four, before slotting ball pass goalkeeper Pierre Mpatoutou.
At the 28th minutes of play, Jean Christian Kanga find his way into FAP’s box, but wasted a golden opportunity to extend the Kpa_Kum’s lead.
Abdoulaye Alingar got the first booking of the game at the 45th minutes, following a double footed challenge on Canon’s Fabrice Balogog. Few minutes later, Samuel Tanga was also in the referees books, for time wasting.
FAP stepped up play in the second segment, but needed the vigilance of Pierre Mpatoutou at the 47 minutes, before in rushing Alexis Mbetounou hit the woodworks with the rebound.
Canon’s keeper, James Bienvenu parry a beautiful strike over his cross bar at the 51st minutes, but FAP failed to make good use of the resulting corner kick.
Canon brought in Jean Yves Mbida for Fabrice Baloggog, at the 72nd minutes, while FAP brought in Emmanuel Che, for Gael Noukeu.
The 81st minutes won it all for Canon, when Isaac Landry Bakinde was fault in FAP’s box, and Canon’s captain, Romuald Ndzana converted the resulting penalty to give the Kpa_Kum a two goals lead, before substitute Jean Yves Mbida rounded things off, at the 95th minutes, to give Canon their first win of the Playoffs and also keep their League one hopes on track.
For FAP, it has been a disastrous last two games, has the team has shipped home seven goals, and scored just three.
