UMS of Loum have claimed their second domestic league title by picking up the needed point this Sunday against outgoing champions Cotonsport of Garoua.
The single point took UMS’ Playoffs points tally to 10 points in 5 games while Cotonsport finished on 9 points.

Cotonsport of Garoua have entertained their fans this Sunday in the title decider in Yaounde.
UMS of Loum started on the front foot with Tabi Ayuk Vidal registering an attempt in the first minute of the game but his short went wide.
Cotonsport looking purposeful will creatively get into the UMS box in the 5th minute of the game but Kamilou’s pass to Serge Seko couldn’t get the Midfielder.Serge will get into the back a two minutes later but his shot went wide.
Both sides looked settled ,in the 10th minute Arnaud Sibiri put a dangerous ball into the Cotonsport box but Serge Seko couldn’t connect with the pass.
In the 14th minutes, Arnaud Sibiri brought down Francis Joel Tombi in the half way line,the UMS man will only get after been treated off the pitch.
Cotonsport’s forward Arnaud Sibiri will make a wonderful run from defense to the forward line but he was brought down for a foul in the half way line.
UMS looked compart on the back after 20 minutes of the game though Cotonsport looked dangerous with every moved forward.
A streak of 17 passes from the Cotonites in the 21st minutes ended on the feets if holding midfielder Tchuente Thierry but he couldn’t test UMS’s keeper, Dande Junior.
Kamilou Daouda in one of his dazzling runs went pass Boris Gotran and Bertin Nguemaleu in the 23rd minute before attempting to play in Seko but his final pass was poor.
UMS came calling again I the 27th minutes but the Cotonsport backline of Ndasi Denis and Banga Bienvenu was present to stop any danger.
Francis Elimbi will test Goalkeeper Junior in the 30th minute with a long strange strike but his strike was swallowed.
Center back Bertin Nguemaleu will attempt a long range shot from just above 35 meters out but it went wide
Serge Andoulou will bring down Nicolas Joel but the resulting free kick was wasted
Cotonsport of Garoua opted to play direct play.
Francis Elimbi will come close with a 47th minutes chance in the box but he narrowly missed hitting the target.
Thierry Tchuente will bring down Francis Joel Tombi on the half way line at the expense of a free kick that was wasted.
UMS attempted from long range in the 55th minute but his long range shot was saved by Bassa Djeri,his follow up distribution found Francis Ebembe Elimbi who picked Arnaud Sibiri but Sibiri’s double shot in a flash couldn’t hit the target.
The pace of the game improved the game,a misplaced pass from Serge Seko will put Goalkeeper Bassa Djeri who brought down Jean Emmanuel to pick a yellow card and give away a dangerous free kick but unfortunately for UMS’ Emmanuel’s delivery was deflected away by Banga Bienvenu who was having a great.
Cotonsport will multiply efforts in the final third creating and missing two chances in the space of a minute with 60 minutes played.
A 65th minutes excellent cross from Arnaud Sibiri was misjudged by Bertin Nguemaleu but Kamilou couldn’t pounce on it.
Cotonsport followed that with a streak of attacks as the kept on banging on the Cotonsport defensive seal.
Victus Amougui will win a set piece on the half way line for the Cotonites.
Arnaud Sibiri will attempt from a dead ball situation in the 67th minutes but it was cleared before repeating the same trick 3 minutes later.
UMS won a 79th minutes corner but wasted it as Cotonsport kept on pressing high with every chance they got hold of the ball.
UMS of Loum sank deep sensing the title and defended carefully until full Time with the score of zero all giving them the needed point to be crowned champions for the second time in their 5 years stay in the top flight.
