PWD of Bamenda have clashed with Fovu of Baham in an interesting League one clash.
The Abakwa boys on a mission to win and avoid last games scare started on the front foot with Kongyuy Jude and co replying to the loud noise generated by their fans with every good action.
In the first 7 minutes PWD came close on two occasions but the last passes to connect with Jude Kongyuy led them down.
Fovu’s early difficulties grew in the 12th minutes as Guy Armel Kengne went down and stayed down.
He was replaced by former Aigle and Colombe forward Raphael Romaric Bissemou a minute later.
In the 16th minutes Jude was picked with a good pass from left back Nfor Che but the veteran forward in space in the box couldn’t get his control right.
Fovu will win an 18th minutes set piece in the edge of the PWD box following a foul on Rudolph Njongmu but the set piece opportunity was wasted by former YOSA man Alexandre Nsangue.
Rudolph will again pick the ball from half way into the PWD half,get to the left flank put in a cross but it was cleared out by Joel Ondoua Boung.
Lukong Ahudu came close in the 23rd minute but his shot was intercepted before departure.
Louis Mbah went down 2 minutes later following a foul on him by Ntebeu Leonel but he opted to stay on and play through pains.
In the 32nd Minutes a fine square pass found Fovu’s Ntebeu in the box but he squandered the chance to test Atengong Julius on goal for PWD.
Brice Tchamabo was almost everywhere at the time for Fovu of Baham as both teams grew into the game.
Bong Joel was nearly in trouble when Nsanga Nsia beat him for pace but his defensive mate Louiz Enoh intervene to bail him out of trouble.
A collection of 7 passes for PWD nearly left Kongnyuy Jude clear on goal but the brilliant Fovu defensive formation worked to their advantage again to stop the any treats from PWD.
In the second half PWD became more adventurous creating multiple chances
In the 49th minutes a well worked corner for the Abakwa boys ended on the cross bar as PWD kept the ball out.
55th Christian Bedebeleg drove a set piece from way out but it couldn’t find more than the PWD post.
In the 59th Pafong Eric came off and was replaced by Former AS Fortuna man Victor Mengue.
A 70th minutes set piece by Kongnyuy Jude from the edge of the Fovu box was intercepted.
PWD had a 72nd minutes Penalty shout but it was tend down.
Leonel Ntebeu was found in space in the PWD half but the assistant referee flagged for offside Chi Ade M. will test the keeper again from 30 meters out but the Fovu shot stopper Armand Kuipou was equal to it.
Noel Rodrique left his place Mondi Kagawa as coach went for the killer,Tony Achu will also follow in place of Ade Minolf as any fresh body
Konguy Jude and co became a different team creating chances without ceasing in the Fovu half,Jude came close in the 88th minutes but his effort was timid
The officiating team added 4 minutes of additional time from which Ntebeu Leonel could have punished the Abakwa boys but yet again poor finishing was their undoing.
At Full Time both sides were visibly dissapointed they didn’t get more but keep their hopes of staying in the top flight.
