Eding Sport FC

Eding sports of the Lekie and Feutcheu FC of Bandjoun will clash on Saturday, at the FECAFOOT center in Odza, in a blockbuster day 16 encounter in Pool B of the league one championship. Eding won the first leg, but will have to work hard, to stop in form Feutcheu.

Eding sports of the Lekie has performed unconvincingly this season, and finishing in the top three of pool B looks not likely for the Cameroon cup holders. The team will certainly fighting to keep their place in the league one, for Next season.
For Feutcheu, their eyes are fixed on the top spot in pool B, and coach Richard Towa and his boys can confirm their place for the playoffs, in case of a win against Eding on Saturday.

Eding won the reverse game on March 3, 2019, by 1#0, thanks to a goal from Ako Assomo. Saturday’s game will be the sixth meeting between the two sides. In their last five confrontations, the two sides have two wins each, and one game ending in a draw. The first top flight game between the two sides’ dates back to December 3, 2017, where Eding won 2#1, and eventually won the league that season.

Eding sport has picked just 16 points from 13 games this season. Their win ratio is not also encouraging, as the Lekie side has managed just two in this season, suffering three defeats and playing eight draws (the highest number of draws in the league). Eding is one of the low scoring teams, with just nine goals scored, and 12 goals conceded.
Feutcheu on their part, is on a seven games unbeaten run. The last time the team suffered defeat, was on the 7 day of play, against Eding. In their past seven games, the team has recorded four wins and three draws. Feutcheu has played 13 games, recorded five wins, one defeat and six draws, scoring 10 goals and conceding seven. The Bandjoun side is riding top of pool B, with 24 points, eight points better than Eding.

Eding will certainly rely on Ako Assomo, with the hope that he adds another goal, to his four goals this season. Efon Fafa might assist him in that role, as he search for his second league goal this season. (he scored his first league goal in the 1#1 draw against UMS).

The man to watch out for in the ranks of Feutcheu, will certainly be Albert Nelle, who has been the talk of the day for the past weeks. He has scored 3 goals for Feutcheu this season. Salmadini El Faouza has also score two goals for Feutcheu this season, and his called up to the U23 lions, didn’t come as a surprise.
