Cameroon League 1 first-tier side Yong Sport Academy have suspended their goalkeeper trainer Kome Thomas this day

The management of the yellow and green half of the Northwest invested faith in Kome Thomas last campaign when then head coach Sango Emmanuel Bosso left midway through the season, Kome guided the team to a fourth place finish in group B, agonizingly missing out of the championship playoffs.

The suspension letter reads;

I am writing to express in strongest the dissatisfaction and disappointment of the entire management with regards to your output especially after the last game in Limbe against Avion FC.

You may recall the profuse assurances we received before recruiting the new goalkeeper. From my personal observations during the game in Limbe, your work has fallen seriously below the club’s required standards. We all are humans and make mistakes but the fact that you opted for anything from the 6th minute of play till the end, shows carelessness plus a nonchalant attitude towards the results obtained on the field of play.

You are therefore from the last game against Canon in Yaounde suspended for a period of five games as goalkeeper trainer. This suspension is effective immediately, and you would loose all financial remunerations during this period and resume after you must have given assurances about your output.

We hope that you realise yourself and give the management and fans the good work required as one of the many persons on the technical bench.

YOSA have conceded 14 goals in their last 8 games this campaign and are yet to keep a clean sheet.
