UMS of Loum will replace YOSA of Bamenda in the group of 6 clubs that will set out in search of the 2019 Cameroon League one crown.
The Northwest outfit finished the first phase of the 2018/2019 Cameroon League one season on the 3rd spot with 21 points just like 4th spot UMS of Loum and were hopeful of participation in the playoffs.
Unfortunately for YOSA of Bamenda,UMS of Loum that ended the season in suspense waiting for the verdict of an appeal against a decision in March won the appeal and got the 1 point that had earlier been deducted from them because of a case Eding Sport FC made against Willy Nnameji.
On the second of May 2019 kick442.com received documents from arms of the LFPC confirming that the decision to deduct a point from UMS of Loum because of Willy Nnameji had been overturn and the result of the game UMS versus Eding Sport FC have been sanctioned as obtained on the field of play (UMS 0-0 Eding Sport).
The above decision means UMS gets UMS into the top three in Pool B with 22 points meaning the club will join Cotonsport, APEJES Mfou,Dragon Yaounde,Stade Renard and Feutcheu FC in the battle to be crowned 2019 champions of the Cameroon Division one football league.
UMS staffs and players held a meeting with the club’s CEO Pierre Kwemo on Sunday evening in Bastos-Yaounde as they start preparing to go out in search of the club’s Second League title in 4 seasons.
