When the UMS of Loum and Eding Sport FC players step out this sunday for their round 5 commitments in the Cameroon Professional Football League One Championship, they will be 22 actors on the pitch who will be desperate for nothing less than 3 points points.
2017 champions of Cameroon,Eding Sport FC have looked so normal since the start of this Football season. The boys of coach Jean Baptiste Bisseck will come to Loum in search of their first win of the season against a UMS side very difficult to beat at home but UMS is not high in confidence as the club have registered just one win in their previous 4 games this season and and accepted a 1 nil defeat in round 4 in Bamenda
History
This is a clash of two very young,Ambitious clubs run by sole Proprietors in Cameroon. UMS owner,Pierre Kwemo hatched his idea of being a club president in the wake of the 2011 season and since then, the rise of the club to power has been incredible.
UMS of Loum are already Champions of Cameroon in 2016 and won the cup of Cameroon in 2015 just like their opponents UMS is proving that the age of a club doesn’t matter in this business.
Eding Sport FC a product of the Love for Football of president Saint Fabien Mvogo, the club created in 2012 have also picked up a league and cup title in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Current Form
Both clubs come into this one with a very poor form,Eding Sport FC have lost 2 and draw 2 of their last 4 games picking only a point in the last 2 games while UMS of Loum come into this one after picking up 5 points from a possible 12.The club have picked up just 1 win but the crucial fact for UMS here is that their only win this season came from a home game.
Head To Head
This clubs have faced each other on 6 occasions in the top flight. In those 6 Eding Sport FC can be proud of 2 wins,2 wins for UMS Loum and two draws, one of which was registered last season in Loum when Eding Sport came there picked up a point before beating UMS 1 nil in a reversed fixture.
See Past experience.
Players To Watch
It is going to be a game with extra significance for Fabrice Raymond Fotso;Fotso played and was top scorer for Eding Sport FC in the first half of the 2017 season but left for abroad before club was crowned champions. So just like Tiencheu Marie Alphonse 2016 League One winner with UMS,Fotso will be facing his former club and deserve the attention in this game.
Joel Etogue and Stephane Meyoupo captains of UMS and Eding Sport FC will also a big part in this.
This is truly what is described as a must win game.
