PWD’s forward, kongnyuy Jude says he will do all he can, to get to the summit of the goal scoring chart in the Cameroon league one championship. The experienced striker missed the Abakwa Boys last game in Garoua against Cotonsport, but has joined the rest of the PWD squad presently in Yaoundé, ahead of their clash against Tonnerre Kalara club this Sunday.
The talisman has written his name on the score sheet three times this season (against Apejes, Colombe and New Stars), scoring three of PWD’s Five goals this season. He missed a penalty against Union sportive of Douala and now sits in the top five of the goal scoring chart, which is led by Cotonsport’s Veteran forward Daouda Kamilou, with six goals, while Victor Mengue and Ekollo Malolo are a goal better than Jude. But speaking in an exclusive interview with Kick442.com, Jude said “Daouda Kamilou in front of me does not means that he has already taken it. I’m just going to work hard to see how I can do. I have missed two matches, but am going to fight for it, it is not yet over”. He also promised the fans of “Ngia P”, that he is going to score against Tonnerre on Sunday, so as to take his team out of the danger zone.
Kongnyuy Jude Joined PWD from YOSA at the end of last season, and has established himself as one of a key component of coach Jean Baptiste Toguem’s team.
Last season, Junoir Rostand Mbia finished top scorer while playing for Dragon, with 20 goals. The race for who replaces him as golden boot winner will certainly go down the wire, as the championship intensifies.
