One of the players of Fovu of Baham whose kick442.com elected not to disclose has told the Online portal that he and his team mates didn’t train on Wednesday morning as photos on social media have indicated because the club currently owe players salaries for the last two months plus bonuses for a month.
The player confessed his personnel desire to still play but ”not in this condition boss”. “We have the potentials to have a good season but we can’t do so with empty stomachs” he added.
It is not the first time this is happening in the ranks of Fovu of Baham this season.Players of the club had to stop work in the preparatory stage of the season for their dues to be paid.
Fovu came back to Cameroon’s topflight Championship two seasons ago after 2 years in the second tier competition thanks to the financial influence of President Dieudonne Kandem.
Fovu’s form this season has been very poor under experienced coach Magloire Mfutila thus giving many pundits a near similar view with accusing fingers on the direction of the administration. the club can boast of just 9 points from 9 games after recording 2 wins and two draws this season.
The strike action from the players days before round 11 games doesn’t help their desire to get their season back on track.
